Smellin' Nice

The store has traded it's new paint smell for a wonderful new fragrance that is a combination of about 40 different candle scents. Predominantly, it is the smell of fall--apples, cinammon, cloves, oranges, pumpkin, you get the idea. All of them so good...it makes you want to go home and bake. Or at least take home a candle that gives off the impression you're baking. Come and enjoy them soon!

Finally!

Well, well it's finally here.  We've been waiting a long time but it's time to get busy and open a store!We have had so many people tell us how excited they are to have the store to shop in again.  Ladies use to tell us we were their therapy.  They would come in and get their "Pat's fix".  Now we're anxious to please them again and looking forward to newcomers. This is  what we want--our mission statement is "to make you and your home happy".  Our goal is to have items you can't find anywhere else and to offer you something you can be happy to take home and not feel guilty about what you spent.

There's just one little bitty hiccup in this perfect re-opening.  Everything is here except one of our staples--one of our most important items--Yankee Candle.  We've only been working on our order with them since June.  It was finalized in July.  And due to be delivered August 7.  Then because it got stuck in their system it was due to be delivered August 13.  I called to get a delivery time and find it hasn't even shipped.  "An inexcusable mistake"  they think.  Worse than that I think.  So, maybe if all falls into place we'll be getting it about the time we open Saturday.  Monday at the latest.  But please come see us because we'll have 20% off all week and obviously the freshest candles possible. :)  We also have wonderful candles by Keepers of the Light that you will love.  See you this weekend.

Old and New

You like?  I hope so.  We wanted the name to be Pat's...Again!  That's the new part.  Yet, since it is
still Pat's we wanted something of the old.  Last year, I expressed the thought that I would love to
use the hallmark rooster that had been the logo of Pat's Antiques.  A dear customer who works for
the local paper said she had a Pat's sack with the rooster on it.  Prayers answered!  She was kind enough to email me the image, we had a graphic design artist make up the logo, and it is now at
the sign company becoming two signs for the building. 
As I write, the walls are painted and the floor is being painted.  This weekend we will move some
things in and next week begins the final receiving, unpacking, pricing, and then the fun part--displaying it all. It's going to be good, y'all! Plan on joining us on Saturday, August 18 to begin our
20% storewide re-opening sale.  If you want a sneak peek, come Friday, August 17 from 5:00-8:00 for a look.  We'll have 10 and 15% off coupons and a 20% coupoun off one item. We will also be handing out candles to the first 20 customers on Friday and the first 30 on Saturday.  Drawings both days, too.  More to come.....
